Growing up in Adelaide, I always lived a very active life. I trained as an elite rhythmic gymnast and competed at a state, national and international level. I was also a dancer and trained in both, ballet and contemporary. I began Pilates when I was 12 years old, after I fractured my foot. This was my first introduction to Pilates and I am so thankful. I quickly learnt the benefits of Pilates for my mind and body, I rehabilitated my injury and had an outlet to ease my mind. Pilates continued in my repertoire throughout my training and career as a dancer. I graduated from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) and moved to Europe to pursue my career, dancing with companies in The Netherlands and Belgium. It was an amazing experience and I was able to travel, see and meet people from all around the world. Upon my return to Australia, I knew that I wanted to take my Pilates to the next level and begin my Diploma. I trained with National Pilates Training and gained a wealth of experience throughout the course. I love that Pilates can be for everyone and I enjoy the range of clients I have been able to work with. My knowledge of movement gives my classes a strong focus on technique, while combining strength and mobility to always provide a full body workout. I am excited to have joined the UP Team and on top of teaching, I am also a full-time student!
